The Mt. Esja Ultra II is a demanding, tough  and fun race.

This is an easy mountain trail course for all runners and fast hikers. The two loop race takes you to a landmark near the top of the mountain. Approximately 200 from the top, there's a point marked with a big rock called "Steinn" where you will have extraordinary views of the capital and surrounding areas.

Distance: 14km

Vertical gain and loss: 1200m

Time limit: 4 hours

Maximum number of runners: 200

The race gives one ITRA / UTMB points

Aid stations: There is one aid station on the course, just after the first loop.

​

The race will start on the 18th of June at 1:00 pm

Please pick-up your bib number at the 66°North Flagship Store (Faxafen 12, 108 Reykjavik) from 12:00-18:00 on the 16th of June.

The course is marked but in addition runners can download the GPX file and upload to a GPS watch or device.
