About Mt. Esja Ultra

Mount Esja dominates Reykjavik's skyline and the view from the top of this 914-metre high mountain is breathtaking.

The main event is 43KM and has a 3600M vertical gain, with 5 different climbs. The half marathon is a brand new distance of 21KM and 1500M vertical gain. The short version, the race to the rock is 3KM and 600M vertical. 
 
Mt Esja Ultra  has been held since 2012 and the 13th edition of of the race will be on the 15th of June 2024.
